Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. The room, hidden behind a tree, was spacious and clean with a mini balcony for a touch of nature, but the furniture was very uncomfortable. The service was a hit and miss - some staff members were lovely to talk to, but others could up their game a bit. The location, surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers, was fantastic for a relaxing break, although some discomfort was experienced at times. The dining experience did not include breakfast, which was disappointing, but some dishes were a real treat. The facilities overall were decent, with some areas needing improvement.
I must say that the room didn't quite live up to what I expected when booking a Superior Room based on the website picture, but it was still beautiful and comfortable. The proximity to the lifts was convenient, and the room itself was spacious with 2 large double beds, which was a plus. However, there were some service issues that detracted from the overall experience, such as not having a bar menu and limited food options available. The location was fantastic, surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers in scenic Kilkenny, and close to the areas we wanted to visit. Despite some service challenges, the dining experience was positive with a great selection to suit all tastes, although the staff seemed undertrained. The facilities were adequate but could use some improvements. Overall, a mixed experience with some room for enhancement.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, but unfortunately, I ended up in a room in the old servants quarters with no view, a dirty balcony, and noise from the kitchen. On the plus side, the location in Hunters Yard was very convenient for accessing the function room.
Our stay at the hotel was a mix of pleasant and disappointing moments. The rooms, although not providing the expected river view initially, were well equipped and had a nice, cozy vibe with modern amenities. The service, especially from the front desk and bartenders, was fantastic, making us feel welcomed and attended to. The location offered plenty of activities like walking, cycling, and enjoying the golf course and equestrian center, but there were minor issues like abruptness from the breakfast manager. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with overpriced meals but convenient amenities like a sterilizer and microwave at The Hound dining room. However, the staff tried to make up for any issues we encountered, showing their dedication to guest satisfaction.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we received a complimentary upgrade to a gorgeous room. The staff, especially Laura, was extremely helpful and always willing to assist with any request. The location was stunning, perfect for walks around the estate, and the dining experience was of a very high standard. One downside was the initial room mix-up, but it was quickly resolved by the efficient team.
The hotel offers a luxurious experience with spacious rooms and a beautiful location for a relaxing stay. The service is professional but can be slow at times. Dining options are of high quality but may have occasional shortages. Overall, a great choice for those seeking a tranquil retreat.
The hotel is situated right beside the Kendall restaurant and the Presidents bar, offering brand new, very comfortable rooms. The service was provided by a really friendly waitress named Paul who was very polite and cordial. The location is marvelous, with stunning horses at the golf club and equestrian centre. The dining, in the Manor house by charming local ladies, was very good. The facilities are top-notch, making for a delightful stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positive and negative experiences. The staff was apologetic and friendly when there was a room mix-up, but the disappointment of not getting a river view room for my mom's birthday was a downer. The service was very pleasant and the location offered beautiful surroundings for walks. The dining experience was superb but there were some delays in room readiness and wedding cake setup. Overall, a stay with ups and downs.
The hotel spa, in my opinion, is not up to the standard I expected, but it handled our family perfectly. The exceptional service made our stay truly enjoyable.
The hotel is situated in a tranquil and picturesque setting, ideal for leisurely walks and enjoying the stunning surrounds. The welcoming and professional service enhances the stay, although the rooms can become stuffy when trying to keep flies out. The dining options offer a range of excellent choices, while the facilities contribute to an overall pleasant experience.
